THIRTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

ADMINISTRATION

 The Church Office will be closed Mon, July 6th in celebration of the  4th of July Holiday! Wishing you a blessed, safe, and holy Independence Day! 

THERE’S A RECENT RESURGENTS OF THE COVID 19 VIRUS. PLEASE USE EXTRA CAUTION AND FOLLOW THE  GUIDELINES SET UP FOR YOUR SAFETY- WEAR A MASK 

 The guidelines, in place to promote safety for all  Mass goers, have been working very well to date; so to this result, we’ll continue to pray and follow the safety precautions listed below:  

  1. You are still excused from the obligation to attend Mass if not ready to break quarrentine, due to age factor, compromised health issues, etc.
  2. Facemasks must be worn at all times while on Church property.
  3. Enter Church by one entrance only; Exit by two doors, as directed by ushers.
  4. Hand sanitizing required at entrances and before receiving Communion. There’s to be two lines for Communion distribution, follow directions.
  5. Abide seating restriction;  6 ft safe distancing.
  6. Ushers to seat you, please follow their instruction 
  7. Receiving Holy Communion: ushers will invite the parishioners to come out row by row.
  8. Ushers will also direct dismissal.  Please follow their directions.
  9. You are asked to go directly to your cars and depart; not gathering in small groups to socialize.
  10. There is a basket at the entrance for donations 
  11. There will be no singing only organ music.
  12. If restrooms used,please sanitize after yourselves.

FINANCE

Tithe/Fundraising effort. To date we have collected $15,861.00 of our $25,000.00 goal, (which is the usual profit from the Fall Festival and Golf Outing). The idea presented for this special “tithe” is that you give what you normally contribute or spend, to these fundraising events.\ If we have a shortfall, we’ll have this money to subsidize our needs.  Please make sure you note “tithe”on the memo line or on your envelope to apply this to the Fundraising effort. KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS NEWS – 

  • GRAND KNIGHT, DENNIS KNAUSS, is asking for help! Knights are needed to serve as Ushers at weekend Masses, esp. the 11am Mass.  Mask are required and safety guidelines followed per rules from Supreme and our Bishop. 
  • Knights are still  HELPING  WITH GROCERY PICK UP  and DELIVERY- CALL THE CHURCH OFFICE if you need this service. 423-639-9381
  • NEXT K OF C COUNCIL MEETING: SUN, JULY 12 IN THE PARISH HALL, KNIGHTS AREA.  ALL KNIGHTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND AT 6 PM.

    – GROUNDS COMMITTEE NEEDS MOWERS

that is;  folks who can ride a mower, push a mower, work a weedeater, or any volunteer that can give a little time on Thursday mornings about 8:30-9am.  Join tthese very dedicated few who keep our Parish Campus grounds looking so beautiful. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.  

TUESDAY WORK CREW has been working overtime.  We have had several issues requiring their expertise at the Church Office recently, which they have handled with ease and professionalism. Thank you, gentlemen for all you do for our Church. 

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

 CONFIRMATION CLASS:  A meeting/practice will be held on Wed, July 1 from 6-8pm in the parish hall.  Please complete your books prior to class and practice. Bring your book, paper, pencil and your sponsor (or a parent if your sponsor is unavailable) with you.  Eat dinner prior to this class.  According to the new directives from the Bishop, no food or drink can be served.  Follow all the safety guidelines: wear masks, 6ft social distancing and all areas touched will be sanitized.

1st COMMUNION CLASS: A meeting/practice will be held on Wed, July 8 from 6-8 in the parish hall.  Please complete your books prior to this class and practice.  You are asked to bring your book, paper, pencil and a parent with you to this meeting/class.  All safety guidelines will be followed. Be sure to wear your mask, eat dinner before you come, practice 6ft social distancing and then we’ll sanitize all areas we’ve touched. 

SOCIAL ACTION

~ JUNE’S COMMODITY ~ ~ CEREAL/OATMEAL~ fill our food barrel to the brim for those less fortunate.  

SPIRITUAL LIFE

FIRST THURSDAY ADORATION ~6-8pm., July 2nd,  There’ll be no Benediction to close Adoration.

FIRST FRIDAY ADORATION:Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament begins immediately following 8:30 am Mass on Friday, July 3rduntil 12 noon.

ROSARY PRAYED BEFORE 11AM MASS~ come early to Mass next Sunday, July 5 at 10:30.

HOLY FATHERS PRAYER INTENTION  ~  JUNE….. We pray that all those who suffer may find their way in life, allowing themselves to be touched by the Heart of Jesus. 

HOMEBOUND MINISTRY:  Fr Joseph will not visit inside the home but distributing Eucharist at the door.

YOUTH MINISTRY

     ~VIRTUAL CATHOLIC YOUTH CAMP

The theme is “We Are One, Let’s Do This Together”!  This free event is to be held on Thursday and Friday, July 9 & 10 from 7-8:30 pm and Sat, Jly 11 from 2-4pm on ZOOM.  Must download Zoom before the camp starts.  Will include games, music, prayer challenges and friendship.  Register on Eventbrite.  For more info contact Brittany Garcia at 865 584 3307 or email:  [email protected]
