*THE MOST PRECIOUS BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST*
JUNE 14. 2020
ADMINISTRATION
My Dear Parishioners, “As you probably know, the Bishop has opened the Church to resume all meetings and gatherings (not to exceed 50 people); following all necessary precautions, i.e. wearing masks, etc. . Carefully thought out guidelines with the health and safety of everyone, follow. We have resumed our regular weekend/ weekday mass schedules. Thank you for the inspiring ways in which you have found to connect with Masses online and for your faithfulness in enriching your life with Spiritual Communion. Thank you, also, for your generosity and faithfulness in continuing your tithes to the parish.” Fr Joseph
The general guidelines are this:
- You are still excused from the obligation to attend Mass if not ready to break quarantine, there’s age factor, or compromised with health issues.
- Facemasks must be worn at all times while on Church property.
- Enter Church by one entrance only; Exit by two doors, as directed by ushers.
- Hand sanitizing required at entrances and before receiving Communion. There are to be two lines for Communion distribution, follow directions.
- Abide seating restriction; 6 ft safe distancing.
- Ushers to seat you, please follow their instruction
- Receiving Holy Communion: ushers will invite the parishioners to come out row by row.
- Ushers will also direct dismissal. Please follow their directions.
- You are asked to go directly to your cars and depart; not gathering in small groups to socialize.
- There is a basket at the entrance for donations
- There will be no singing only organ music.
- If restrooms are used please sanitize after yourselves for the convenience of others.
We will continue to live stream 11 AM Mass on Sundays until restrictions are lifted.
Mass intentions, which were scheduled and then canceled (due to the Pandemic Pause) mid-March until now….have been re-scheduled. They are, of course, not scheduled on the dates requested, but have been scheduled on the next available date in the order of request. That seemed the fairest way to re-schedule since requests could not be accommodated. Sandy
THE CHURCH DOORS ARE OPEN FOR PRIVATE PRAYER DAILY (~9 AM UNTIL 7 PM ~)

SOCIAL ACTION
FOODBANK: 178 lbs of sugar was delivered to the Food Bank. Thanks, JoAnn Dwyer and Lewis Petsche. The Commodity for JUNE IS OATMEAL /CEREAL.
OUR NEIGHBORS IN UNICOI COUNTY-COVID 19 PANDEMIC FOLKS HAVE ALL THE FOOD THEY NEED, THANKS TO YOUR GENEROSITY AND THE GENEROSITY OF MANY OTHER AREA CHURCHES AND THE GREENEVILLE/GREENE COUNTY COMMUNITY. The narthex alcove was filled with your donations. The items and foods were delivered. Shortly thereafter, we received a request to halt the donations as the response was overwhelming. The State and its people have been given the right name: Tennessee Volunteers, the response to the need of the Covid victims was immediate and abundant. Thank you, thank you, thank you all for your concern, your donations of food, hygiene items, and monetary gifts. May God continue to reward you for your kindness. THE SOCIAL ACTION COMMITTEE OF PPC
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
RE BOOKS: Even though we are beginning public Masses, we are still uncertain about our plans for Religious Education for the fall. Student books are in the narthex for parents to pick up at their convenience. The church is open from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. Since we did not finish the year, please review and finish the book with your child during the summer. The 1st-grade class will be our 1st Communion Class and the 5th-grade class will be our Confirmation class in the fall. Thank You, Susan
FINANCE
. WEEKLY COLLECTION REPORT
JUNE 7TH Collection ………….$5,486.44
Charity, Bldg, Maint, Sem Funds……………….$961.00
Tithe /Fund Raising Collection…………………..$860.00
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR GENEROUS DONATIONS–
in your weekly contributions and for your generous response to our Tithe/Fundraising effort. To date, we have collected $13,411.00 of our $25,000.00 goal, (which is the usual profit from both of our events.) The idea for this “tithe” is that you give what you normally contribute or spend, to these fundraising events and if this “no Church due to Corona” makes us have a shortfall, meeting our budget needs, we will have this money to subsidize our needs. Please make sure you note “tithe” on the memo line or on your envelope, if you wish the contribution to be applied to the Fundraising effort. Thank you
